Charter Fishing Rates and Details
We specialize in sightcasting for redfish and other flats predators in clear, shallow water from technical poling skiffs. We primarily fly fish but also welcome light-tackle conventional anglers. We typically do not fish with bait.
Please note that all trips are catch and release only.
Pricing is based on 1 or 2 anglers. To provide the best technical sight fishing experience, we limit trips to no more than 2 anglers. If you have a larger group, we’d be happy to coordinate with other well-regarded sight fishing guides to accommodate additional anglers.
Pricing
Half-day trips are 4 hours and cost $600. Scheduling is generally flexible. Trips can start first thing in the morning or later in the day. Often, midday trips from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. provide the best sightcasting conditions.
Full-day trips are a minimum of 7 hours and cost $800. The longer trips allow us to reach more distant areas that aren’t realistically fishable in 4 hours.
Gratuities are greatly appreciated. Tip amounts for charter captains are similar to those for servers — 15 to 20% is customary and 25% recognizes exceptional service.
Deposits and Cancellations
We require a $100 deposit to book. If you need to cancel your trip 7 days or more before the trip date your deposit will be refunded. Cancellations with less than 7 days notice will result in forfeiture of your deposit.
If weather or other circumstances force us to cancel a trip, your deposit may be either refunded or, if you prefer, put toward a future trip. Cancellation due to weather is at the captain’s sole discretion.
What’s Included and What to Bring
Charters include:
Cooler space, ice, drinking water

Plan to bring:
Top-quality polarized sunglasses
Hat with a dark underside on the brim
Sunscreen (please no aerosols, which can leave a slippery residue on decks)
Non-marking boat shoes or sandals

Tackle Recommendations
If you want to bring your own tackle, we recommend:
7wt to 9wt fly rods. We typically use 8wt rods. 6wt and 7wt rods can be difficult in some wind conditions. Some 6wt rods put undue stress on the fish in hot water.
12 - 16 lb. tapered leaders. Hand tied leaders offer some advantages, but the knots often grab too much grass.
Flies. We'll have all the flies you need, but if you want to fish your own we recommend weedguards.
Meeting Locations
Where we launch and fish depends on seasons, weather and current conditions. We’ll coordinate location and time with you as your trip date approaches. Meeting spots include:
